“We are thrilled to launch Jungle Brunch at Chotto Matte Miami,” says Jordan Sclare, Global Executive Chef of Chotto Matte. “Our team has been working hard to curate an exciting new menu of jungle-inspired dishes and cocktails that complement the vibrant atmosphere, tropical beats and lush surroundings that will ensure guests have a brunch experience unlike any other in Miami.”

Chotto Matte’s new brunch will feature two unique sharing-style menus: Jungle Brunch ($75 per person) and Vegetarian Jungle Brunch ($65 per person). Keeping with the theme, each menu features dishes elevated by herbs, spices and citrus fruits found in the Peruvian jungle. Those who opt for the Jungle Brunch menu will start the experience with mouthwatering appetizers, including Oak-Smoked Salmon Tostada, Bao Pato Crujiente, Edamame and Jungle Ceviche, a spin on Chotto’s classic ceviche that incorporates three types of fish rather than just one. Guests will then enjoy a selection of tableside torched sushi, including the Sato Maki and Spicy Tuna Roll. Before digging into Chotto Matte’s Dessert Platter, guests can choose three robata grill favorites from a selection of options, including the Spicy Chicken Karaage with a special Nikkei rub; the Gambas a la Parrilla, Argentinian red shrimp flavored to perfection in a spicy coconut marinade; or the BBQ Huacatay Broccoli with Peruvian black mint, red chili and cilantro.

The Vegetarian Jungle Brunch menu starts with appetizers including the King Oyster Mushroom Tostada spiced with Peruvian aji panca chili, Bao Shiitake Tempura, Edamame and Lychee Ceviche with fresh Peruvian corn. For sushi, guests can indulge in the El Jardin Roll with sake soy bok choy, shiso, cauliflower and pea purée. From the robata grill, they can choose from a selection of options, including the savory Arroz Chaufa with Peruvian vegetables, egg fried rice, and spicy sesame soy.

Guests can imbibe with Chotto Matte’s new Free-Flowing Champagne & Cocktails Package ($90), which includes a selection of jungle-themed craft cocktails and free-flowing Veuve Clicquot Brut. Exotic, colorful cocktails span the menu, including the Sach’ara, made with Codigo 1530 Blanco tequila, mezcal espadin, watermelon, raspberry, hibiscus, mirin, roco and lime; Lima Bellini, with Caravedo quebranta pisco, banana, lychee, lime and prosecco and Morning Bird, with Bacardí Añejo Cuatro, Aperol, pineapple, shrub and lime. The Nikkei hot spot is even offering a jungle-inspired take on the classic bloody mary, the Inca Mary, with Tito’s vodka, guava glaze, soy and tomato. Guests who reserve a Free-Flowing Champagne & Cocktails Package from 1-2 p.m. will be invited to the bar to order their first drinks and enjoy passed appetizers from the menu ahead of being escorted to their table.

To complete the experience, diners will receive a small bottle of Chotto Matte’s limited-edition yellow anticucho sauce, created by Chef Sclare and freshly prepared in-house.

An Elevated Room Service Offering from Gray Hawk Grill for Beckford House & Tower Residents Launches on the UES

Looking for a great restaurant floors below your home? Gray Hawk Grill (1556 2nd Ave) just launched an elevated room service offering to the residents of Beckford House & Tower on the Upper East Side. Beckford residents at 301 E. 80th Street and 301 E. 81st Street are now able to order brunch and dinner from neighborhood favorite Gray Hawk Grill directly to their apartment door.

This isn’t your typical delivery offering though.  After an order is placed (with a minimum spend of $50 for brunch and $100 for dinner), a Gray Hawk Grill waiter will arrange a dropoff time via a dedicated bar cart for the building.  Dishes are served just the way they'd be presented at the restaurant with no plastic containers of any kind to make this an environmentally friendly choice. Afterwards, the customer rings the restaurant when they’d like the dishes taken back.

This At Your Door Room Service offering provides a hotel-like amenity to a luxury residential building where available units go for upwards of $27 million dollars.

Brunch specialties include avocado toast, eggs benedict, pancakes, steak & eggs, and a challah french toast casserole. Dinner entrees include Cacio e Pepe, roasted chicken, sauteed shrimp, Miso Black Cod, Norwegian Salmon, blackened tuna steak, and dishes from the grill such as filet mignon. Raw bar options are also available including littleneck clams, oysters, and a shellfish platter.

Millan also hopes to expand to neighboring buildings in the area in the coming months especially as the temperatures begin to dip and more and more New Yorkers opt for meals at home in the colder months ahead.
