Yabu Pushelberg and GID Development Group Celebrate Design at Waterline Square

On Thursday, February 13th, nearly 50 guests gathered in the residents' lounge of Two Waterline Square to celebrate its striking design by highly-celebrated hospitality design firm Yabu Pushelberg.

James Linsley, President of GID Development Group, and Glenn Pushelberg, Principal of Yabu Pushelberg, engaged in a lively Q&A discussion moderated by Corcoran's Jodi Stasse. Pushelberg spoke about design choices in the lounge, sharing insight into the firm's inspiration behind Two Waterline Square's residences and shared amenity spaces. 

Following the Q&A, guests enjoyed dessert, champagne and signature mimosas catered by Cipriani, which will be opening its first-ever large-scale food market and full-service restaurant inside Two Waterline Square later this year.

First Look Inside Waterline Square's Starchitect-Designed Luxury Rentals

Waterline Square, the three-tower luxury residential development on Manhattan's Upper West Side, has just unveiled unveiled the new model homes.

With interiors by celebrated designers Champalimaud Design, Yabu Pushelberg and Groves & Co. complemented by architecture from Rafael Viñoly Architects, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Richard Meier & Partners Architects, the residences at Waterline Square excel inside and out. 

One Waterline Square

Ranging from studios to four-bedroom residences, the chic, expansive homes offer four palette variations and a rich selection of stones and woods not often found in rental residences. Caesarstone backsplashes and countertops with waterfall islands, custom wood-paneled vanities and polished chrome Grohe fixtures adorn the kitchens and bathrooms. The homes feature condo-level perks like kitchen islands, walk-in closets, wine refrigerators, fully-integrated appliance packages designed by Bosch, vented washer-dryers and five-fixture bathrooms, making for a truly elevated offering.

Interior Marketing Group furnished the new model homes within Waterline Square, using custom furnishings, patterned wallpaper and bold artwork to transform the interiors of nine luxury units into turn-key homes. IMG's design team paired minimalist, modern furnishings with eclectic pieces to create dynamic, modern living spaces. Designed to accentuate the stunning Hudson River views and modern architecture, each unit has its own personality.

With architecture by Richard Meier & Partners, Rafael Viñoly Architects and KPF, plus interiors by Champalimaud, Yabu Pushelberg and Groves & Co., the rental residences at Waterline Square boast condo-level features such as high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the remarkable views, as well large kitchen islands, walk-in closets, wine refrigerators, fully-integrated appliance packages designed by Bosch, vented washer-dryers and five-fixture bathrooms.

All three towers offer a suite of curated amenities and resort-style services, in addition to each tower having access to tower amenities such as private dining rooms, media rooms, game rooms, residents’ lounges with gas-burning fireplaces, libraries and furnished terraces.

In addition, rental residents also have access to the extraordinary Waterline Club — the 100,000SF shared amenities space that is designed by Rockwell Group and connects the three buildings. Just outside their doors, the lush 2.6-acre park is present, as will be a dynamic hospitality program with concepts by Cipriani and Empellón.

Taco Time with Chef Alex Stupak at Waterline Square

On Wednesday, June 12th, more than 75 guests gathered at the Waterline Square Sales Gallery to celebrate the highly anticipated new location of Empellón Taqueria opening later this year at the development with an exclusive reception hosted by project developer and GID Development Group President, James Linsley, and Alex Stupak, the James Beard Award-nominated Chef and Empellón's founder.
 
To celebrate the collaboration and Empellón’s fifth location, guests received an insider’s look at the upcoming culinary experience with a custom tasting menu and margaritas inspired by Empellón’s West Village roots.

To be located in Three Waterline Square which has been designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, the 4,917 square-foot space will feature interior and exterior seating and front Waterline Square’s 2.6-acre park designed by Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects, offering a direct view of the park’s fountain and expansive, lush green space.
