Constructed in 1930 as The Katharine House by the Ladies Christian Union, the building originally served as a sanctuary for women seeking education and professional opportunities in early 20th-century New York. Renowned architect Benjamin Wistar Morris designed the structure, embedding it with a balance of grandeur and subtle elegance, elements which Berkus and the acclaimed BKSK Architects have meticulously restored and reimagined. The preserved exterior and carefully refreshed interior spaces pay homage to the building’s rich history, creating homes that elegantly combine pre-war charm with contemporary luxury.

Berkus’ deeply personal involvement in selecting finishes, layouts, and decor ensures that each home in The Katharine feels uniquely curated, exuding timeless sophistication and comfort.
