“Serving New Yorkers—and diners from around the world—for three decades is a rare milestone. We are happy to reopen this location with lots of ‘under the hood’ improvements that diners won’t even notice,” said Ron Silver, Chef and Owner, Bubby’s. “Comfort food has always been my style and how I love to cook. With our new interior and modernized kitchen, guests can expect the same classic Bubby’s menu and quality of service in revamped surroundings.”
The Bubby’s story began on Thanksgiving Day 1990 when Chef Silver was baking pies and selling them out of a small kitchen at the corner of Hudson and North Moore St, which ultimately became the flagship Bubby’s Tribeca. This one-day pop up has since expanded its footprint to draw in hundreds of thousands of guests annually at a second High Line location as well as six restaurants in Japan. Total pancakes sold: 3 million!
Known for its simple, seasonal and made-from-scratch fare, Bubby’s is a New York City institution for classic, American cooking. The menu features signature items such as fried chicken and pancakes; meatloaf; buttermilk biscuits; as well as a rotating selection of seasonal pies. They are famous for its all-day brunch, but Bubby’s also has a sophisticated dinner menu and the new location will have an expanded front area for happy hour enthusiasts. In keeping with its Southern inspiration, original artwork by Silver is on display in the restaurant.
As a special toast to the celebration, complimentary prosecco will be available for guests who dine at Bubby’s Tribeca opening weekend.
