New York City is back baby, and with that is the grand appetite of hungry New Yorkers. Renowned New Jersey chef and restaurateur, Zod Arifai, has opened his newest New York City restaurant, Wicked Jane in Greenwich Village. Wicked Jane offers a new à la carte experience each week, and features some of Chef Zod’s favorites dishes from the original tasting menu, such as the lightly cooked salmon with rice purée and bonito broth, fluke tartare with shaved daikon and horseradish tarragon sauces, braised lamb belly with a spicy housemade yogurt topping and chickpea purée, and seared duck breast with red cabbage, turnip, and a fig red wine emulsion. And for those who need a solid foundation of carbs to start, guests also have the opportunity to try Chef Zod’s signature housemade sourdough bread and housemade cheese that are each made with his very own starters.

To highlight the delicate flavors found in each of the carefully prepared dishes, Wicked Jane’s in-house Certified Level 3 Sommelier is readily available to offer a curated wine pairing experience based on each guests' preferences and his personal recommendations; From Togonidze’s 2018 Rkatsiteli Mtsvane Kakheti [Skin-Contact white wine] from the Republic of Georgia to Praesidium’s 2015 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva from Italy, there is a perfectly distinct wine for every course.
