3 Drink Business Ideas For Trendy Millennials

Would you care for a drink?

Today’s Millennials have a vast range of tastes when it comes to drinking. Wild grunge parties of the 1990s where everyone drank to oblivion are a thing of the past. Millennials and Gen Z have a much more appreciative approach to drinks. They instinctively understand the need for expertise when it comes to a good beverage, whether it is served in a cocktail glass or a coffee mug. The passion for knowing and understanding everything about their favorite drinks can inspire the launch of sophisticated businesses that can surf on the drink culture wave.

As it happens, more and more individuals are staying at home in the midst of the pandemic. They are losing their opportunity to socialize with friends at the local bar or coffee shop. It offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to launch a drink business that is dedicated to enhancing your at-home experience.

Romantic night-in delivery

The pandemic is making a strong argument for romantic night-ins. A business model that specializes in offering a range of celebration drinks for each occasion can serve the night-in purpose. It is fair to say that not every household is equipped with the knowledge to pick the right bottle for their home-cooked meal. That’s where a unique differentiating factor can help promote your business. Offering simple recipes along with each bottle of wine can transform the romantic dinner at home. For unique partnerships, the business can also provide direct links to local takeaways with recommendations on the best choices for each wine.

It can also be helpful to join small ingredients to prepare wine or bubbly cocktails, such as letterbox-friendly pouches with small quantities of spirit, fruit juice, or soda with step-by-step instructions.

Coffee-at-home supplier

Some days, you just fancy a smooth and mellow cup of coffee that hits all the right spots inside your mouth. As many employees have embraced home-based work arrangements during the pandemic, many find themselves missing their favorite drinks at the local coffee shop. As the Beverage Industry market reveals, Americans consume a lot of coffee – 400 million cups of coffee every day. But some prefer a frothy cappuccino while others want an oat milk latte with a dash of vanilla syrup. It can be tricky to reproduce barista-quality at home. Yet, a coffee or tea specialist could provide all the tools people need to create the right drink.

Investing in automated espresso or coffee gear such as a superautomatic machine means that you don't even need an expert barista to make high-quality drinks. The machine does all of the work for you without the cost of labor and extra overhead

Alcohol-free cocktails for families

Not every home enjoys drinking alcohol. From pregnant women to fitness enthusiasts, a lot of adults would welcome the services of an alcohol-free specialist. Many households start the day with a homemade smoothie or freshly-pressed juice. But they fail to recognize the potential of a healthy mocktail. Did you know you could use a fun drink to inject more vitamins into your day-to-day lifestyle? A strawberry orange mango kombucha mocktail is packed with vitamins and probiotics goodness. Besides, there’s a grown-up scent to the fermented kombucha that makes this drink the perfect go-to option for a happy hour glass!

Delivering drinks and drink recipes to trendy households who want to rediscover the pleasure of social drinking is a unique business opportunity. Contrary to common belief, the beverage market is vast. Regardless of your offering (alcoholic, alcohol-free, warm, etc.), it’s time to inject a healthy dose of sophistication into at-home drinking.

Food & Wine Pairings To Try This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the time of the year where you surround yourselves with the ones you love. This Thanksgiving, why not surround yourselves with the ones you love and a bottle of these wines to share with the table? Not sure what to drink or how to pair it with? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered with a food and wine guide is guaranteed to make your guests think you’re secretly a sommelier.

SB-Thanksgiving-11.jpg

For Roasted Turkey | Rioja Reserva (2014 Burgo Viejo Rioja Reserva)

Unlike so many other meats, Turkey does not traditionally dominate a plate of food flavor-wise and has a lower fat content. With this in mind, the wine pairing should ideally be either a full bodied white wine or a medium bodied red, with low to medium tannin and relatively high acidity, such as a Rioja Reserva.

For Honey Glazed Ham | Spanish Chardonnay (Enate Chardonnay 234)

Ham, with its sweet-and-salty richness, pairs best with wines that have a touch of sweetness, nice acidity and bold fruit. This Chardonnay has complex and intense varietal aromas reveal green apple, ripe peach, fennel and exotic fruit (guava and passion fruit) against a subtle mineral background. Full and unctuous on the palate yet clean and fresh due to lively acidity. A lightly honeyed finish leaves a lingering impression.

To Go With Cranberyy Sauce Cellier des Dauphins 2019 Cotes Du Rhone Reserve Rosé (SRP: $10.99; purchase here)

This French Rhône Valley Rosé offers indulgent notes on the palate of red berry fruit, redcurrants and fresh floral notes that linger on the finish. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif or with salads containing fruits and green veggies.

To Pair With A FIlet Mignon Bonterra Organic Vineyards The Butler 2014 $50

A Syrah blend with hints of Mourvedre, Grenache and Zinfandel, The Butler 2014 exudes aromas of ripe plum and dark cherries with a hint of violets. It is a rich, velvety wine with good structure, well-integrated tannins and flavors of sweet oak and licorice spice.

INTRINSIC Red Blend ($25/ bottle) w/ Chewy Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

A strong flavor like peppermint can easily be overwhelmed unless the wine also has a similar taste like Intrinsic Red Blend. For a good pairing, a minty cookie with a full-bodied red blend like this wine will create an equal balance of spice, sweet, and savory. Red wines can be a tricky match with chocolate and it truly depends on the wine. INTRINSIC red blend is a good match with its herbal mint flavors, to balance out these decadent dark chocolate mint cookies.

Erath Oregon Pinot Noir ($19/bottle) Noir w/ Linzer cookies

A light to medium bodied pinot noir like Erath takes on red fruit flavors of the jam-based cookie such as raspberry, cranberry, or even strawberry. The sweet, vanilla tones that come from the oak barrels will complement the not-so-sweet cookie base from the tart fruit filling creating a perfect balance between tart and sweet.

Peyrassol La Croix des Templiers Rosé 2019

a Provencal rosé with notes of gooseberry and a whisper of refreshing acidity. Although behind its cheery pink colour, lies a darker history.

qbY6ayemRo-m2DrByzOjhQ_pb_x600.png

The estate Commanderie de Peyrassol was formerly owned by the Knights of Templar, an order believed to conspiracy theorists as pulling the strings of the world since the 1100s. They originally formed to protect religious pilgrims going to the Holy Land, inventing the idea of a military monk and are known for spooky practices like worshipping a severed head. The first recorded harvest at Peyrassol took place in 1256.

In 1307, on Friday the 13th of September, hundreds of Knights were thrown in jail in France for alleged heresy - leaving their lands, including the Commanderie de Peyrassol vineyard, abandoned until the Order of the Knights of Malta (an equally secretive and esoteric group) inherited their assets. The vines of the Commanderie de Peyrassol were cultivated by this group until being passed on to a local family in 1790, who started making the wine still produced there today (now owned by Philippe Austruy since 2001) and still bearing the Knights of Templar’s red cross on the label.

SOxcHfrO.png

The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Dry Stack Vineyard is blended with 4% Sémillon in the style of a Bordeaux Blanc and has extraordinary appeal this year. It opens with classic notes of gunflint and smoke that flesh out to a peachy core accented by notes of beeswax, lychee, floral perfume and ripe citrus. The palate is dynamic, medium-bodied and textured but bursting with ripe, mineral-laced fruits, buzzing with bright acidity and finishing long and addicting. I find it hard to resist drinking this immediately, although it could age well in bottle.

There's a freedom in darkness, it draws our curiosity and piques the senses.  Apothic Dark blends bold dark blueberry and blackberry with opulent notes of coffee and dark chocolate with a rich, smooth finish.

Inspired to design a brand that reflected Gia’s creative personality, she collaborated with Francis and the winemakers to present a new style of wine—one that’s light and unpretentious. Gia Orange Riesling is unfiltered, and rich in flavors of fruit and spice to warm you up on a chilly fall evening.

GnarlyHead_AuthBlack_RenBottleShot.png

A line of bold and rebellious wines who recently introduced a new label that features perfectly spooky black and orange coloring. Boasting gnarled vines, Gnarly Head wines are perfect to enjoy whether watching scary movies or waiting for trick or treaters.

Perhaps the spookiest of the wines is Gnarly Heads’ Authentic Black. True to its name, Authentic Black opens with brooding aromas of black cherry, black licorice and vanilla providing a powerful entrée to this big, robust Petite Sirah-based blend. Dark and inky in the glass, concentrated flavors of boysenberry and dark chocolate are framed by hints of baking spice on the finish.

kvdul6qjbf9vpzhmahsx.jpg

The 2018 Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon’s nose opens on an array of refined ripe black fruit aromas, joined on airing by light toasted hazelnut notes. This red is vinified in the Bordeaux manner, favoring extraction of the fruit and a supple, well-balanced tannic structure.

This Pinot Grigio is characterised by a straw-yellow color. Its bouquet is marked by an impressive fruitiness, and the palate demonstrates all of the amazing qualities of the Collio region: superb weight and viscosity, mineral-edged, savoury, tangy, and lively.

Offering an acidic, balanced white wine with spicy and floral notes in the aroma, this Rkatsiteli is perfect for simple dishes, different kinds of cheese, dishes with potatoes, salads, and meat. This is amber wine but the fermentation is done in a steel tank, rather than in a qvevri: so, you get the grip of skins, but with some of the freshness that tank wines are known for.

At this year’s festival, Campari will have a presence at three of the festival’s virtual Main Slate screenings including Opening Night, Centerpiece, and Closing Night, with exclusive video content. Campari will also sponsor the highly anticipated world premiere of On The Rocks, directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, in addition, to select virtual press conferences and Q&A events.

Since 1963, the New York Film Festival has been a centerpiece of New York’s arts scene: an annual bellwether of the state of cinema that has shaped film culture in the city and beyond. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema. The festival continues a long-standing tradition of introducing audiences to bold and remarkable works from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent. Support of the New York Film Festival benefits Film at Lincoln Center in its nonprofit mission to support the art and craft of cinema.

New York Film Festival Director Eugene Hernandez said, “We are thrilled to be working with Campari once again to elevate our most important event of the season. In a unique year for the festival and for us all, it is so meaningful to continue collaborating with a partner that values our core mission—to support the art of cinema."

Below are 3 movies with the perfect Campari cocktail.

The Human Voice Dir: Pedro Almodóvar

Tilda Swinton swallows up the screen as a woman traumatized by the end of a relationship in Pedro Almodóvar’s new short film. An impeccably designed yet combustible adaptation of Jean Cocteau’s 1930 play The Human Voice, it marks the Spanish director’s English-language debut.

Drink Pairing: The Classic Negroni

  • 1 part (1 oz.) gin

  • 1 part (1 oz.) sweet vermouth

  • 1 part (1 oz.) Campari

Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass (or ice-filled double rocks glass) and garnish with orange twist.

Spike Lee’s film of David Byrne’s acclaimed Broadway show is an exhilarating record of a seismic theater event as well as a momentous work of cinema in its own right. Both joyous and politically engaged, it’s a reckoning of these dark times through music and togetherness, with a galvanizing rendition of Janelle Monáe’s “Hell You Talmbout” that’s destined to be one of the year’s most talked-about screen moments.

Drink Pairing: The Americano

  • 1 part (1 oz.) Campari

  • 1 part (1 oz.) sweet vermouth

  • Splash of soda

Pour all the ingredients directly into an old-fashioned glass, fill with ice cubes, add a splash of soda water, garnish with orange slice or lemon peel.
