5 Keto Desserts You Have To Try From Explorado Market

One of my favorite parts about grocery shopping is creating new dishes and quite honestly the desserts section. Since going on keto, this has limited the foods such as fruits and desserts. Following a keto lifestyle sometimes takes away the magic that comes along with filling up my cart with fruits. The controversy over including fruits in the keto diet is a big one and one you have to tackle from every angle.

Having too many sweets like dessert or even fruit, can take you out of ketosis and inhibit fat burning. Fortunately, I discovered Explorado Market a keto bakery and grocery store online, with some of the best keto desserts I’ve ever tried. Best part is you can eat without worrying of breaking keto.

This Winter – Try Getting “Brrrn”-t

(Image link: https://www.thebrrrn.com )

(Image link: https://www.thebrrrn.com )

I understand, we’ve all been there.

Seemingly every few months another fitness trend comes out- new ways to be our healthiest and fittest selves – debunking old tips while establishing new tricks. The truth is, we treat fitness like a one size fits all, and can feel defeated when it doesn’t work. Really the most important thing is to try and try and try until you find that thing - that style, that workout – that works best for you and your body.

So maybe it’s time to give “cold workouts” a shot.

Why work out in the cold?

winter workouts nyc off the mrkt.png

In cold temperatures your metabolism speeds up in an attempt to regulate your body and burn those extra calories.  Instead of mainly burning carbs, your body also starts to burn stored fat. Cold weather works to strengthen your heart- working harder to distribute blood throughout your body. Feeling awake and more energized, cold workouts can improve endurance and muscle recovery.

Located in Flatiron/Chelsea on 107 W. 20th Street, the Brrrn is the first cold workout studios of it’s kind in NYC. The concept originated when creators Johnny and Jimmy trained inside a 38 degree beer fridge at a brewery in Brooklyn and realized no gyms in the U.S. operated below 72 degrees. After studying the benefits they created the Brrrn.

Brrrn offers reservations for multiple classes in 50-degree temperatures. The HIT class is a 50-minute high intensity class that uses ropes and various weights for a total body workout, while the SLIDE class offers a core and cardio low to mid-impact session. They also offer a 50 minute class combining the two styles.

For beginners looking to start cold workouts – no worries – they detail dress code, suggesting to dress in light layers and offering free booties to those taking SLIDE or HIT + SLIDE classes. They offer a 2 class for $38 First Timer Special and multiple other package deals – from 5 classes/Sauna Packs for $160.00 to 20 classes/Sauna packs for $600.00.

The Best Tips To Save Your Skin This Winter

By Diana Benitez

No matter how much we love winter and the cozy nights in, our skin often does not, and we cannot neglect it. It’s only natural that some people’s skin reacts more extremely than others. Often this reaction leads to peeling, eczema, and blotchy skin, especially on our cheeks that goes beyond a slight blush effect. Check out our best skincare tips for you to use this Winter.

If you suffer from, or want to prevent dreaded winter skin, here are a few tips.

Humidify, Humidify, humidify

Now, I’d say this is for those who live in very dry, stale and frozen areas. It’s much more difficult to reach any level of humidity and expose your skin to it. To do so, this would add a lot of much needed moisture that sometimes the dry weather can bring into our skin. That being said, over-humidifying is also not good, so only turn to it if it’s really necessary. If you're puzzled which spec to look for, here we have an informative humidifier for skincare brands analysis.

Using a gentler cleanser

Something we have to switch up our summer/warmer weather cleansers to a much gentler, less harsh one. Often, much harsher ones will strip our skin of those oils that are already low in the winter. We recommend, Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Gentle Foaming Cleanser for Sensitive Skin, $13

Exfoliate

It may seem daunting to exfoliate when you already have sensitive and dry skin, right? Well, exfoliating is a must for the dry patches that sometimes arise when the weather gets below freezing. Though you need to focus on exfoliating, don’t over exfoliate. This can have a detrimental effect of an even more excessive amount of dry skin.

If you still aren’t convinced due to the harshness of exfoliating, here’s an alternative that still rids your skin of those dry cells. Clarisonic Skin Renewing Peel Treatment, $39

Don’t Forget the Scalp!

This is actually something that so many people forget about in the winter months (and maybe even the summer, too). Just like the rest of your skin, this also needs to be hydrated and kept an eye on. You could look into having a scalp treatment done in hair salons near you, but of course, you could do one at home, too, and even invest in a nice shampoo brush for your scalp. In general, just don’t forget this, because it’s still apart of your skin!

Be aware of your moisturizer

During the summer months, or any time during the year that isn’t winter, we typically use a light lotion with a built in SPF, if that. We don’t like the heavy feeling of products on our skin when it’s so hot outside.

It’s incredibly important to not use a lotion, but to step it up to a cream, ointment or serum because it will provide a greater level of moisture.

A few options are:

Fix your shower routine

We often fail to realize that, even though we love those hot, steaming showers, they aren’t that good for our skin. The longer and warmer the shower, the more time that water has to strip your skin of the natural oils due to its repelling quality. It’s recommended that we limit our showers to be shorter and in warm water, not hot water.

Dry skin is often a big inconvenience, but it’s manageable. You don’t have to just deal with it, you learn to work with it. There are many different skin types, and because of that, there are many different skin routines out there.

5 Fitness Tips for Men in Their 30s

As we grow older, we have to pay attention to many things to keep ourselves healthy. We have to care about our diet, alcohol intake, sleep, and of course – exercising. At that age, people are starting to have families and balancing business and private, family lives is not an easy feat. You drive your kids to school and you surely want to devote some hours to them when you get back from work. Try to wedge some fitness time in that busy schedule and to also make it count! Here’s what you can do to get the best out of your exercises and also save some of your valuable time.

Consult a doctor about your lifestyle habits

Why is this important and how is it related to fitness? Well, some lifestyle habits can cause health problems. This is especially true of substance abuse – like alcohol and tobacco, to name but two. When your doctor monitors your body mass index, they can determine your chance of developing some diseases. You should come up with a fitness plan with that analysis in mind in order to prevent obesity and heart disease. Fitness should help you stay healthy, not just get fit, so use this chance to ask your doctor how to combine that with your eating habits to maximize the effects.

Get The Jump On Your Health Problems

Don’t wait for your health problems to develop into something more serious that requires thoracic surgery. Instead, get the jump on them now. Go to your local GP and get them to examine, take your bloods and find out whether there is anything that could potentially get in the way of your new fitness goals. Remember, the sooner you can get help, the better.

Don’t neglect stretching

fitness 30s.jpg

We spend a lot of time sitting at work and at home, so our body gets stiff. Even if we work out, our range of motion decreases over time and we usually don’t pay much attention to it. Stretching before the workout reduces stiffness and increases range of movement during exercising. It is also important to stretch to avoid muscle injuries, as tight muscles are prone to that. Flexibility also improves your posture and it helps you relax and release tension. If you have some spare time, consider taking a yoga class; if not, you can just do some exercises at home, or even at work.

Start Seeing a Chiropractor

If you’re not doing so already, you should start seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis. This is important because if you’ve been doing an office job or any job that requires you to be sitting for a long period of time each day, by the time you reach your 30s, that’ll really start to take its toll on your back. Ignoring the issue now might cause even bigger problems for your physical wellbeing later. You can also look into Research Peptides for pain management. You should come up with a fitness plan with that analysis in mind in order to prevent obesity and heart disease. Together with a plan, you can check out online growth hormones such TB500, you can check out online some TB500 for sale.

Should I lift weights in my 30s?

There are many age-related health issues we are anxious about. Some of them are changes in our articular cartilage, which can lead to joint injuries and diseases, as healthy cartilage in our joints makes it easier for us to move. Weightlifting seems like a daunting task to a lot of people, but there are exercises with a wide range of movement which train our joints, so it’s worth giving it a try! Although, you should decrease training volume as you get older by removing single-joint exercises to minimize joint stress and fatigue. Weightlifting also helps you recover your testosterone levels which begin to drop at this age, which, among other things, affects your muscle mass and bone strength. As we grow older, we have to pay attention to many things to keep ourselves healthy

Prevent age-related muscle loss

off the mrkt.jpg

The decrease in testosterone levels affects the stimulation of muscle protein synthesis to protein, insulin, exercise, and amino acid, which contributes to the decline in muscle mass. The key regulator is daily nutrient intake, and in case you’re too busy to spend hours shopping at markets, you can buy good nutritional supplements online. This is especially important if you’re on a calorie-restricted diet, as it will help you catch up on nutrients while still losing weight.

Exercise before going to bed

Getting enough sleep is really important to let your body rest, so it would be ready to get you through the day tomorrow. Consider doing some simple weightlifting moves about 30 minutes before going to bed, as it can increase your resting metabolic rate for some hours after the exercise. Also, when we sleep we produce growth hormone which helps us build muscle. So, good quality sleep lets the muscles you worked on during the day repair and build up when you’re asleep. Adequate sleep will also motivate you to stick to your exercise plans the next day.

Time management in our 30s is essential to our accomplishments and happiness, and there are alternatives if you can’t spend much time at the gym or yoga class. Try working out at home, there are plenty of calisthenic exercises which require no equipment and you can still build some muscles. You can also do yoga at home, or try some meditation exercises. It will help you relax and improve your posture and flexibility. Invite your family to join you, as you can spend some time with them while also working out.
