The Best Breast Cancer Charity This Year
Right now as you read this in 2017, around 252,710 new diagnoses of breast cancer are expected, and up to 40,610 women can possibly die of breast cancer this year. Every two minutes a woman is diagnosed, and one 1 in every 8 women will be affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women, and 2 or 3 out of every 100 women are likely to die of breast cancer.
Treatment for breast cancer is usually some form of Chemotherapy or invasive breast removal surgery. Cancer in every form is horrible, but I think I speak for every man when I say that 1 woman who has to cut off her breasts (Never forget Angelina Jolie), or lose her hair to chemo, is 1 woman too many, and everyone looks forward to the day our long fight with breast cancer is over.
In the meantime, research costs money. That’s what fundraisers and charity are for, but let’s be real, most people don’t actively donate to charity, and fundraising functions aren’t exactly fun. That’s where Mionetto comes in with their third annual Pink Corks for the Cause sweepstake. Having donated 70,000 dollars to charities such as The Bridge Breast Network in Dallas, Texas Wings in Selma, and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in Jersey City. Following the classic golden ticket rule straight out of Willy Wonka, whoever finds eponymous pink cork will be entered into sweepstakes to win 10,000 dollars to donate to the breast cancer charity of the winner’s choice. All you need to do is what I assume you’re already doing, except with Mionetto as your go to brand of wine for a few weeks.
So now as long as you’re a fan of Prosecco, or Rose wine, you don’t really have any excuse to not go out and try your luck with a bottle of Mionetto, or maybe a few. Mionetto is an excellent brand as well being Italy’s foremost producer of Prosecco-based north of Venice in the heart of the Prosecco region, and being one of the oldest wine-makers in the area they’ve established relationships with star growers, ensuring a consistent supply of quality grapes.
Tell your friends and have a ‘bring your own Mionetto’ party, or have a glass or two with your dinner. The sweepstakes ends October 31st so don’t delay, you won’t find another charity like this till it comes again next year.
