Go for Gold at These Luxe Condos with Olympic Sports Amenities
As the Tokyo Olympics kick off and unite fans around the globe, I wanted to propose a fun, timely round-up of luxury condos in NYC that offer sports amenities aligned with Olympic events. From new additions like skateboarding and sport climbing to all-time favorites like swimming and basketball, these amenity spaces promise something for every aspiring athlete. Inspired residents can practice their favorite sports or learn new skills at these striking amenities — all without ever leaving home
Swimming
With swimming playing a prominent role in this year’s Olympic Games, we can’t think of a better place to practice your freestyle than at Rose Hill's striking indoor pool. Developed by the original builders of Rockefeller Center and designed with a vintage Gotham-esque flair, Rose Hill is the all-new 45-story luxury condominium tower in NoMad. Designed inside and out by CetraRuddy, the acclaimed global architecture firm known for successfully blending modern design with crafted detail, the Art Deco building nods to the historic firm's greatest creation in all aspects including the interior design of the pool space. Taking inspiration from the public bath houses of the 30s and 40s and the Spirit of Normandy ship directly, Rose Hill's 50-foot pool is clad in hand wrought tiles and trim with deep turquoise handmade tiles from Vermont. The artful center masterpiece, at the end of the space, pays homage to women and the Amazon goddesses of the time period.

Skateboarding
The newest Olympic sport is captivating audiences across the world this summer. Inspired residents of GID Development Group's Waterline Square can try out the tricks they see on TV at the development's indoor skate park, the first of its kind at a residential development in New York City. The skate park features a half-pipe and mini ramp for the daredevils looking to catch some extra air, as well as an open seating lounge area for socializing, a sound system with DJ deck, and large screen TV with video game provisions. Skateboards and helmets are available for use.

Basketball
Situated in the Upper East Side's coveted Carnegie Hill neighborhood, 180 East 88th Street boasts a striking basketball court perfect for those looking to shoot for the stars after watching an all-time-favorite summer Olympic sport. The building's half-court indoor basketball court features soaring double-height ceilings, concrete design accents and an abundance of natural light. An incredible space, there’s no better place to perfect your jump-shot and practice your free-throw. 180 East 88th Street is being developed by Joe McMillan's DDG and Global Holdings.

Sport Climbing
As sport climbing makes its Olympic debut this year in Tokyo, residents can be inspired to reach for the ceiling at home at Brooklyn Point. Offering the highest rock climbing wall at 35 feet in any private residential building in Brooklyn, this rock climbing wall is not your standard grey wall that you would find at a gym. This wall offers a diverse mix of warm color schemes and it reads like a full height wall art installation. The rock climbing wall showcases different shades of white, red, grey and black, all blending together to create a rock climbing wall that is aesthetically engaging and pleasing.
