What is a travel suit and why you should own one
By: NYC Fashion Stylist Cassandra Sethi, Founder of Next Level Wardrobe
We all lead very busy lifestyles day to day. Not only lifestyles that are busy but mobile. We are now traveling more than ever for work or fun-- and for weeks at a time!
So how can you make sure that you look your best no matter where you are going (near or far)? What is the ONE piece that you need to have in your wardrobe that will support you lifestyle, keeping you cool, comfortable and looking put together while on the go?
Enter in the travel suit.
So what is a travel suit anyway? A travel suit is the silhouette of a traditional suit (matching blazer and pants) but in a fabric that can withstand your journey- to any climate, any event and has versatile appeal that you can easily dress up or down. The fabric of travel suits are made of a different blend and weave from a traditional suit which usually makes them lightweight and wrinkle resistance- the ultimate win-win in my opinion!
Here are my Next Level picks for travel suits and inspiration photos for various business settings:

As you can see there are MANY different ways to wear your travel suit. Dress is up with dark brown oxfords and a tie for a more formal setting or pair it with a long sleeve polo and take off the jacket to make it more casual.
Furthermore, accessories are also welcome when it comes to these outfits and you'll have a lot more freedom compared to formal occasions. For instance, you can add colorful pocket squares that pop or a statement watch to add some personality to your travel suit. Your possibilities are endless and it's all about finding the right combination that suits your personal style.
Best of all a travel suit can easily transition you from day to night. Wear the full suit for your daytime business meetings and then take off the jacket, throw on a cool sweater for your night out with friends.
So next time you are traveling for work (or personal) be sure to include your travel suit- you won’t be disappointed!
