Waldorf Astoria Debuts First Stand-Alone Residences in Pompano Beach
In a significant expansion of South Florida's luxury real estate market, developers Related Group and Merrimac Ventures have partnered with Hilton to introduce the Waldorf Astoria Residences in Pompano Beach. This marks the iconic brand's first venture into a purely residential concept and its official entry into Broward County. Set on a two-acre oceanfront site, the development will feature 92 exclusive residences overlooking the Atlantic, designed by Nichols Architects in collaboration with KORA, BAMO, and Enea Landscape Architecture.
The project aims to encapsulate the timeless elegance and exclusivity associated with the Waldorf Astoria name. "We set out to distill the timeless elegance and exclusivity of the Waldorf Astoria brand into a purely residential format," said Nick Perez, President of Related's condominium development group. Amenities will include a beachfront café with room service, a resident lounge, a pool with cabanas, wellness facilities, and nearly two dozen boat slips accommodating vessels up to 45 feet.
The arrival of the Waldorf Astoria Residences comes amid a renaissance for Pompano Beach, a city experiencing significant public and private investment. "Pompano Beach's transformation has been extraordinary—the result of many years of careful, thoughtful development," noted Dev Motwani, CEO of Merrimac Ventures. The development is expected to further elevate the area's profile, attracting buyers seeking luxury living with direct beach access and a suite of high-end services managed by Waldorf Astoria.
Wendy Marks of Related Realty LLC, a seasoned real estate expert with over 25 years of experience, views this as a milestone for the region. The introduction of a globally recognized luxury brand's stand-alone residences underscores the growing trend of branded developments in South Florida, catering to a market eager for upscale amenities and unique lifestyle offerings.
