Distance Dining_WK1_ meatball sauce.jpg

junzi kitchen is going to be offering weekly special meals through their first crisis pop-up: “Distance Dining.” This week's theme is "Chinese Food as Therapy." In other words, is what chef Lucas sin's dad would have made for the customers: Chicken broth, a sort of Chinese penicillin, that is sweetened with red dates and fortified in both flavor and function by ginger and apricot kernels which soothe the lungs. A traditional Shanghainese meatball served with goji, spring bok choy, and brown rice to tonify the stomach. And dessert is yam stewed in ginger and Taiwanese black sugar with longan and lily bulb, which calm the spirit.
