6 Home Cinco de Mayo Drinks You Can Easily Make

This week is Cinco de Mayo, and hopefully you already have your tequila on hand. Rather than go out with the masses hosting a party at home is always easier (plus more cost efficient) than risking it outside. Another benefit of making your own cocktails, you actually know what your putting into your drink.

Whether you prefer the traditional margarita or want to try something exotic this weekend, we’ve found some of the very best cocktails to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at home

The Paloma Select

  • 1/2 Part Agave Nectar*

  • 1 Part Pink Grapefruit Juice

  • 1/2 Parts Fresh Lime Juice

  • 3 Parts Sparkling Water 

  • 1 Pink Grapefruit Wedge

Pour All Ingredients, Except Sparkling Water, Into A Boston Shaker With Ice. Shake Vigorously And Strain Into A Highball Glass With Fresh Ice. Top With Sparkling Water.  Garnish With Speared Grapefruit Wedge.*Or Substitute With Simple Syrup


Espolòn Reposado Margarita

  • 45 ml Espolòn Reposado

  • 30 ml of Fresh Lime Juice

  • 10 ml agave syrup (depending on sweetness)

  • 1 Lime wedge for garnish

  • Salt (optional)

Garnish Sea salt crust rim (half rim is a good option) Lime peel or wedge.


Shake ingredients with plenty of ice, double strain in a in a coupette. Garnish with lime peel/wedge. 

Premium coupette (or rock as an alternative “on the rocks”) 


SEED + SODA

  • 1.5 oz 21Seeds Tequila (pick your favorite flavor - Cucumber Jalapeño pictured above) 

  • 3 oz club soda 

  • Splash of your favorite juice

Rub the inside of the wine glass with a fresh slice of citrus Add ingredients to a glass with ice and stir. Serve with a fresh slice of fruit.


Blood Orange Margarita

  • 1 ½ oz. Tequila Cazadores Special Edition

  • ½ oz. Orange Curacao

  • 2 oz. Blood Orange Juice

  • 3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

  • 3/4 oz. Agave Nectar

  • Manny’s Salt

Shake all ingredients and serve over ice with Manny’s salt (salt flavored with guajillo and pasilla chili peppers, hibiscus, sugar and lime).


Tanteo Habanero Flame Thrower Margarita

  • 2 oz. Tanteo Habanero Tequila

  • 2 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice

  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

  • 1/2 oz. Light Agave Nectar (or simple syrup)

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a salt-rimmed, ice-filled Highball Glass. Garnish with a grapefruit slice.


Spanish Peach Margarita

  • 2 oz. Corralejo Silver

  • 1⁄2 oz. Peach Schnapps

  • 3⁄4 oz. Agave Nectar

  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice

  • 5 Mint Leaves

With a hint of peach, a sprig of fresh mint, and a splash of lemon juice, this creative take on a classic Margarita is the perfect compliment to Corralejo Silver’s light peppercorn aromas and crisp flavors.
