Drinks To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2022

St. Patrick’s Day is on the horizon, which means it’s time to start planning your celebrations. When people think about St. Patrick’s Day drinks, the first thing that often comes to mind is a pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson. While those are definitely good choices (we’ll certainly be having one — or three— on the big day), St. Patrick’s Day drinks can actually be a whole lot more.

If you’re looking to shake things up this St. Patrick’s day, here are a few cocktails to try:

Proper Coffee Drop

  • .75 oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey

  • .25 oz Coffee Liqueur

  • 10 oz Irish Stout

Pour Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey Irish Whiskey and coffee liqueur and into a shot glass and drop into a pint glass of Irish Stout.

As one of the most celebrated holidays globally, St. Patrick’s Day is all about bringing people together, and what better way to do that than by raising a glass of Elysian Brewing’s best-selling Space Dust IPA (8.2% ABV), which balances bitterness with the sweetness of grapefruit, mango and orange aromas.

If you’re searching for “something green” to bring to your St. Patrick’s Day party, look no further! Space Dust’s iconic green mascot, Dusty, featured on every can and bottle, is here to help you avoid the pinch. Plus, the Elysian team has released an easy-to-make festive drink recipe called the Irish Astronaut, which cleverly features 50% Nitro Irish Stout and 50% Space Dust IPA.

This St. Patrick’s Day, skip the stouts and shots and celebrate Ireland in luxury. Glendalough Distillery is the first Irish whiskey brand to use the rare and exotic Mizunara oak, where the woods of Wicklow meet the island of Hokkaido in the form of a rare, exquisite whiskey. Unlock Glendalough 7-Year-Old Single Malt Mizunara Finish – the key to your best, most elevated St. Patrick’s Day yet!

Mizunara’s rarity makes sourcing a great undertaking, but Glendalough was ready for the challenge of being the first Irish whiskey to utilize this oak. The trunks of these uniquely beautiful trees are prone to growing twisted, and they must grow to be twice the age of most oak trees before they can be felled. It then takes three years to dry, and even then, is notoriously difficult to cooper due to its porousness. However, therein lies its saving grace: whiskey can seep deeper into the wood, resulting in an alluring, exotic flavor.

Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey

St. Paddy’s Day is almost here, and with nearly 200 St. Paddy’s Days under its belt, Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey knows a thing or two, not only about celebrating the holiday itself, but how to actually spell it. Year in and year out, Americans seem to get it wrong, opting for the use of the double T instead of the double D…

To offer a tasty spelling lesson, Tullamore D.E.W. has partnered with acclaimed American butcher Pat LaFrieda to create the ultimate St. Paddy’s Day Patty to help fans from making the common spelling mistake between a meat patty and Ireland’s national holiday.

The specialty St. Paddy’s Day Patty is made up of a proprietary blend made by Pat himself and inspired by Tullamore D.E.W. Beginning Thursday, March 10th, 193 kits will be made available via LaFrieda.com nodding to the 193-year history behind the Tullamore D.E.W. brand.
