The IDEAL School of Manhattan’s Annual Gala

On Monday, February 27, The IDEAL School of Manhattan will host their 18th Annual Gala, "Moving Our World," at Pier Sixty in New York City. The evening's host is author and award-winning journalist Genevieve Shaw Brown. The honorees are social justice advocates Judith Heumann, Charles Imohiosen, Heidi Latsky, Robert Rodriguez, and Katheryn Russell-Brown. The benefit will feature cocktails, dinner, dancing, a raffle, and an auction.  The IDEAL School is New York’s only independent inclusion school dedicated to creating a diverse community that affirms and accepts the full identities of all people while inspiring academic excellence, creative leadership, and a desire to build a more just and equitable world. · Heidi Latsky, acclaimed, innovative, and influential leader in physically integrated dance;

· Charles Imohiosen, President and CEO of The Andrew Goodman Foundation;

· Robert Rodriquez, New York Secretary of State;

· Katheryn Russell-Brown, social scientist, professor of law, and director of the Center for the Study of Race and Race Relations at the University of Florida Law School
