Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s Second Annual NYC Teen Race of Hope

  • Pier 76 408 12th Avenue New York, NY, 10018 United States (map)

Hope For Depression Research Foundation (HDRF) created the Teen Race to provide teens and their families with a screen-free active event to connect with teens and raise mental health awareness. With teen depression and anxiety rates surging, the conversation around teen mental health is more important than ever before.

Hayden Lucas, a senior at Dwight High School on the Upper West Side, will serve as Lead Student Ambassador and Noelle Saldana, a junior at Fieldston School in the Bronx, will join Hayden as Co-Lead Student Ambassador.  The pair will be joined by 19 student ambassadors from throughout the city, as they lead participants on a beautiful 5K (3.1) mile route along the Hudson River esplanade and public piers.

The Race will start at 10 AM and cost $17:50 for students and $27.50 for adults. 100% of revenues from the Race will go to groundbreaking research into the root causes of depression in the brain and new and better treatments.
