You don't have to be a mathematician to enjoy Pi Day! On Sunday, March 14, comfort food favorite Bubby's is celebrating the special day with its iconic pie flavors New Yorkers have loved for the last three decades — as well as new DIY pie kits and pizza pies. Full details and more on the latest at Bubby’s below:
Pie Slices: Bubby’s started as a one day pie pop-up shop 30 years ago, and its pies are still a fan favorite. Grab a slice—classics such as apple, sour cherry, peanut butter chocolate, and banoffee won’t let you down, or try the new s’mores slice at Bubby’s Tribeca, now open for indoor dining at 35% capacity, outdoor dining with heaters and covered seating; or get it to-go. Can’t make it to Tribeca? Pies are also available for nationwide shipping.
NEW! DIY Pie Kits: Experience the comfort of a Bubby’s pie at home—and make it at home! Bubby’s new DIY pie kits come with frozen pie dough, 32 oz of apple or sour cherry filling, a disposable pie tin, and branded fluted pastry wheel ($50). Chef Ron Silver is making a tutorial video so Bubby’s customers can learn from a pro!
Pizza: During the quarantine, Bubby’s developed a new type of “pie” and now offers pizza in a variety of flavors including buffalo chicken, Hawaiian, and hot soppressata, available for dine in, takeout, and delivery. Bubby’s thin-crust pizzas are made with a special sourdough crust— the same century-old sourdough found in its pancakes.
