Hip Hop Eatery Announces Grand Opening of Bo Leg's BBQ in Skatebird Miami

Hip Hop Eatery, a South-Florida restaurant kitchen group, announced today their first restaurant concept to the public with the reopening of Bo Leg's BBQ in North Miami. Bo Leg's BBQ is open for business and located inside Skatebird Miami at 533 NE 83rd Street. The restaurant will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. On that day, the restaurant will also proudly make a donation of its earnings to the ‘1st Take Youth Film Program’ as well as offer free bites throughout the day.  

Legendary BBQ Chef Kevin “Bo Legs” Dority, who over 30 years has perfected the art of BBQ, partnered up with executive chef Marco (Mall) Molinet, who has deep roots as an artist in the hip- hop music, film and culinary scenes, to reintroduce Bo Leg's BBQ. As a local restaurant kitchen activist, Molinet is on a mission to increase community pride, forge economic inclusion and provide access to affordable food. Bo Leg's BBQ will be Hip Hop Eatery’s first BBQ concept along with seven more brands set to launch in the next year. The restaurant group is committed to bringing back the Miami staple that operated for over 30 years and was consistently voted ‘Best BBQ in Miami’ for many years in a row.

“We are honored to be able to partner and launch our Hip Hop Eatery brand with the legendary Bo Legs BBQ at SkateBird Miami. I felt as if Bo Legs aligned perfectly with my vision for the community in bringing great, affordable, quality food that inspires and educates hip-hop’s rich culture and culinary scene,” said partner and chef Marco Molinet. “We will continue specializing and focusing on the best smoked meats around, from ribs and BBQ chicken to beef brisket, turkey legs, and jerk chicken.”

Bo Leg's BBQ is now open to the public and operating Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will take online orders (UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub and more), takeout orders placed in-person and phone call orders at 305.462.5815.

Barbecue fans will experience flavorful meat smoked for half a day in a rotating smoker over oak wood. The menu includes an array of barbecue staples available by weight, including tender brisket cooked for 12 hours on low heat, toothsome St. Louis-cut ribs falling off the bone, BBQ and jerk chicken, jumbo turkey legs and more. There are also perfected signature BBQ sauces, sides including mac and cheese, collard greens, baked beans, corn on the cob and much more.
