Historic LGBT Greenwich Village Tour

Explore the historic 19th and 20th century significance of various LGBT landmarks starting at the Stonewall National Monument to provide an overview of some of the individuals, businesses, and cultural institutions that contributed to the LGBT presence in the Village and the community’s influence on American culture. The tour will highlight the longstanding oppressive practices that led to the 1969 Stonewall uprising and we will end at Julius’ Bar, at West 10th Street and Waverly Place, site of the famous 1966 Sip-In, for refreshments.
