Greenville Zoo - What is a holiday without taking a trip to a zoo? If you are in the upstate area, Greenville Zoo definitely comes recommended. You will be able to meet some of the most exotic animal species in North America. This includes everything from toucans and leopards to monkeys and elephants. There are lots of great features here too, including overnight stays and family adventures.

South Carolina plantations - Walking in some of the 2,000+ plantations across South Carolina is like a dream! There are lots of great plantations to choose from, yet Charleston has to take the top spot for some of the most outstanding and beautiful gardens. You should be able to easily find a hotel in north Charleston, South Carolina as well, which has loads of great places to explore nearby. Middleton Place and Magnolia Plantation are two of the most recommended here.

Myrtle beach - One thing that most people do when they visit South Carolina for a vacation is go to the beach. Myrtle Beach is undoubtedly the most popular spot, boasting miles and miles of pristine sands. There are lots of great attractions in this area as well, including the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, which will take you on a ten-minute ride above the boardwalk and beach. There are also musical shows at the Carolina Opry. And, that is without mentioning Broadway at the Beach, which is the biggest shopping and entertainment venue in the state, boasting everything from movies and an aquarium to mini golf and a variety of rides too.

Charleston’s Historic District - Last but not least, we are ending with another attraction in Charleston, which seems to be the place to be when you are visiting South Carolina. You will be able to immerse yourself in the elegant ambience of the antebellum south in this state. You can experience over 1,400 historic churches and homes, as well as an array of other unique buildings. Taking a carriage ride is a great way to see the district and learn all about it. We definitely recommend visiting the Old Slave Mart Museum for a fascinating history lesson.
