Riggs Washington DC, Your Unique Lavish Spring Holiday Sleeping Inside A Bank
Sleep amongst billions of dollars. Riggs Washington DC, located on 900 F Street NW, a luxe, one-of-a-kind hotel in Penn Quarter, set in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Paying homage to the building’s legacy, each room is a reminiscent of a private safety deposit box. The Riggs's Cherry Blossom Package, bookable between March 20-April 11, offers guests the chance to reserve an accommodation in a Deluxe room; dine in the grand European brasserie-inspired Café Riggs; seasonal cocktails to enjoy while in room from Silver Lyan — recently awarded 'America's Best New Cocktail Bar; as well as the chance to upgrade with a tour of national monuments to see the bloom of these magnificent trees amidst a treasure trove of iconic historical backdrops. Starting nightly rates begin at $389.
Inspired by the bustling brasseries of Europe, Café Riggs offers traditional grace through a reimagined lens to bring a modern restaurant to D.C. Nestled on the hotel’s ground floor, the restaurant serves an all-day menu from the bar, café and dining room with executive chef Patrick Curran overseeing a menu of classics and innovative originals in a stately setting.
Despite only having had a small window to welcome guests in early 2020, Silver Lyan was still able to pick up the award for “Best New American Cocktail Bar” at the illustrious Spirited Awards in summer. While the bar sadly remains closed for now, the team are excited to bring you ‘Silver Lyan at Home’ - cocktails to enjoy at home that are perfect after a long day, or ideal to have with those close to you over the holiday period.
