Nikka From The Barrel
Nikka From The Barrel is a Japanese whisky crafted by blending together more than 100 different batches of malt and grain whiskies. This expression was created to deliver full hints and richness of whisky "from the barrels" that only blenders can sniff and taste. After blending, the whisky is filled into used barrels and matured for three to six months. This "marriage" process harmonizes all components in the formula creating a mellow taste with a controlled ABV of 51.4%.
The iconic, square bottle reflects its concept "a small block of whisky" and embodies the intense and rich flavors of the whisky inside. Long after its launch, this bottle is still timeless and recognized for its ultimate simplicity.
Middle West Spirits
Middle West Spirits, the Columbus-based distillery crafts its award winning whiskeys from Ohio-grown grains grown and aged in Ohio-coopered barrels. The thirteen year old distillery has been refining its blend of innovation, originality and tradition, designing a few expansions, and distilling spirits for a number of notable brands available on the shelf. Only recently have they concentrated on Marketing efforts and ventured into Public Relations to share Ohio’s first micro distillery post prohibition with the masses now that they are available across the country.
The 4th generation master distiller, Ryan Lang, opened the 56th U.S. distillery in 2008. Debuting with OYO vodka, then Middle West introduced their Wheat Whiskey, followed by the Straight Bourbon. The dark pumpernickel rye was released October 2015 and the finished collection (Oloroso-finished Wheat Whiskey, Sherry-finished Bourbon) will find itself complete later this year with the release of the Ported Pumpernickel Rye. Single Barrel offerings, at both bottle and barrel proof, will also debut in fall 2021. The local favorite Bourbon Cream will roll out nationally in time for Holiday 2021! Blackened
Born in cask, forged by sound; BLACKENED is a blend of Straight American Whiskeys, with notes of honey, apricot, cinnamon, allspice, clove, and mint. BLACKENED derives from an unlikely collaboration between two legendary craftsmen, Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and Metallica. The whiskey isn’t just inspired by the iconic band’s music, it is literally shaped by it. The team behind BLACKENED has taken the concept of sonic-enhancement and turned it into BLACK NOISE™, a patent-pending process that pummels Metallica’s own music to shape and envelop the flavor profile. To achieve this process, sound waves need to hit a particular frequency range to effect and intensify the molecular interaction. This - coincidentally - was the specific frequency that the majority of Metallica’s music was played in. Every batch of BLACKENED will come with an accompanying playlist curated by Metallica at. www.Blackenedwhiskey.com
