California is the number one most visited state in America and for good reason. Both Los Angeles and San Francisco are considered ‘Gateway Cities’, and are home to some of the most popular and recognisable tourist spots in the country so are ideal for ticking off those bucket list items. People continue to come to California the freedom, and the creative ferment making it the world center of film and high tech innovation. There’s beautiful weather, stunning terrain and so much more. Here are five must- visit locations when you come to California.
The Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge possibly California's most famous landmark, and is probably at the top of your list of places to visit while you're in the state. There are lots of ways you can enjoy the incredible views. How about booking a sightseeing tour, or perhaps you could hire a luxury car to drive over it yourself as part of a road trip. There are lots of car hire places dotted about the state, so do some research and decide what kind of vehicle you’d most like to drive it in- that way you can really do it in style.
Yosemite National Park
Want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while? If you fancy a break that's not the beach, you could spend a day visiting Yosemite National Park. This is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California and is famous for its towering ancient sequoia trees. You can also see the 'Tunnel View' which is an iconic vista, don't forget your camera! You can also spend some time taking in the spectacular granite cliffs of El Capitan, there are plenty of natural wonders to be seen.
