Wines To Try On National Wine Day

May 25th is National Wine Day, might be one of our favorite holidays and luckily for us falls on a Friday, which means all the more reason to celebrate. Call up your favorite wine buddies and welcome the weekend by indulging in some of these wine-related activities.

INTRINSIC 2017 Red Blend 

 INTRINSIC Red Blend is the perfect wine to drink with dinner thanks to its easy sipping. It’s a blend of 51% Malbec, 49% Cabernet Franc and opens with refined notes of raspberry, white tea leaves, a hint of fresh mint and lavender. The flavors are layered with milk chocolate fig reduction, dark plum and licorice root.

JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery 2019 Rosé 

This Paso Robles style Rosé is dry and aromatic with muted strawberry, white cherry, red apple fruit on entry and melon with chamomile flower on the mid-palate. Serve this wine to guests with either cobb salad or roasted chicken seasoned with garlic, thyme and lemon.

H3 2016 Sauvignon Blanc 

Sauvignon Blanc is a fantastic white wine to pair with grilled vegetables or seafood. This wine opens with citrus aromas followed by a layer of minerality and pear flavors that give way to a crisp, clean finish.

Taittinger Nocturne

This distinctively sweet Champagne is pale yellow in color with shimmering highlights and bubbles that form a delicate ring of fine foam. On the nose there are aromas of white flowers, yellow peach and dried apricots. The palate is smooth and creamy yet very crisp and gives way to flavors of raisins and fruit in syrup. This mature, rich and round wine culminates in a long, smooth finish.

Marques de Riscal Sauvignon Blanc, 2016

Marques de Riscal was the first-ever Spanish winery to produce Sauvignon Blanc. The family-run winery brought the popular French varietal from the Loire Valley in 1974 and introduced it to Spain, changing the Spanish wine landscape foreverThis wine has hints of fresh grass over a mineral base which gives the wine personality, and abundant fresh fruit such as citrus fruits, pineapple or melon.
