Why Malaysia Is A Great Place To Live

Have you ever thought about living in Malaysia? While it seems like neighbouring Thailand gets most of the attention, Malaysia is a country full of incredible beauty, friendly people, and some of the world's most amazing architecture. The country boasts lovely weather, beautiful tropical beaches, and a low cost of living that gives you a great work-life balance. People are beginning to notice this gem of a country, and Malaysia is becoming increasingly popular for people who want to escape the dreary northern winters for a tropical paradise!

One of the best things about Malaysia is the fact that a foreigner can purchase a piece of property 100% with no restrictions, like the long-term leases and partial ownership with a citizen that most Asian countries require! Moreover, the prices are extremely reasonable, you can get a lovely semi d house for a fraction of what you might pay for something similar in the West! Considering that, it's not much of a surprise that an increasing number of people are choosing to make the move to Malaysia every year!

Malaysia boasts the fifth-largest economy in all of Southeast Asia and maintains 37th place worldwide.  Labour productivity is at a significantly higher rate compared to some of Malaysia’s neighbours, and most of its residents can live a life of relative luxury with a more affluent lifestyle due to the low cost of food, housing, fuel, and transport. The hard-working Malaysian people are very kind and congenial, you will feel their warmth the second you set foot in their lovely and gracious country. The Malaysians are friendly by nature and very hospitable, they are always willing to go out of their way to lend a helping hand to others, including foreigners!

If you aren't ready to retire yet and are hoping to find some work in Malaysia, there are a lot of promising opportunities for highly skilled international workers, and the chance of securing employment is even higher for educated individuals with a lot of experience in their field. Malaysia maintains a "Critical Occupations List" that identifies highly sought-after, or hard-to-fill occupations, so if you have experience in those areas your possibility of securing a rewarding post as an international worker will be greatly increased! The list includes fields such as aerospace, manufacturing, construction, education,  transportation, and the oil, gas, and energy fields.

You can also get excellent and accessible health care in Malaysia. The state of the medical community is highly advanced thanks to the government's interest, they have promoted a lot of research and investment in the field. As an expat, you will be able to obtain medical insurance that will cover the treatment of common illnesses and even more rare ailments in Malaysia’s world-class private healthcare institutions, which are on par with healthcare in the West.

Malaysia is a wonderful place to live, there are so many things we could share to entice you, but have run out of space! We hope that we have at least inspired you to pay Malaysia a visit and see for yourself why so many people from around the world are choosing to call it home!
