An Interview With Luxury Real Estate Expert Kyle Gonzales

The real estate industry is drifting down quite a luxurious path, and buyers hope to put their trust in an agent who transcends the standard while selling properties. One of Florida's luxury real estate advisors, Kyle Gonzales, does just that. As he continues selling properties throughout south Florida , he sits down for an interview, providing insight into his process.

Interviewer: How did you ignite your passion for luxury real estate?

Kyle Gonzales: I've always considered myself a creative. When I was younger, I was really into fashion and interior design but didn't take that path. I thought I knew what to do with my life, but I was wrong. It wasn't until later in life that I realized I wanted to do something that involved my love of design, mixed with all the amazing relationships I'd made. Real estate allows me to meet new people from all walks of life, which fascinates me. It also allows me to focus on design because I get to source amazing properties for my clients. If it's a listing I have, it allows me to tell the story I want to put out to the public with the property I'm selling.

You express that your listings allow you to tell a story. Do you have any listings you're currently crafting a narrative for?

One of my latest listings is in the Las Olas Isles of Fort Lauderdale, and when I was doing my first walkthrough of the property, I saw the address plaque by the door displaying three lemons on it. That, mixed with the gorgeous ivy cascading over the entire home, made me think of all the fab memories I had from my favorite place in Italy – Capri. I wanted to bring that feeling to this listing and all its marketing. You don't feel like you're in South Florida but escaped to a stunning hillside retreat on the Amalfi Coast.

Pursuing a career in luxury real estate can pose a challenge. What sets you apart from others in your industry?

I hate boring marketing or anything for that matter. EVERYTHING I do must make an impression. I spent years before my real estate career as a Creative Director for a popular hospitality group and major brands. I've always gone with my gut! I also do all my marketing and branding independently. I have people in place for every facet of my business because I know they're the best, and we are a team. I've been doing "Kyle" since I started real estate, and it must be working because I now get to work with some of the most amazing people throughout my real estate career. All while selling incredible properties like the one on Las Olas Blvd. I can't wait to see where my team and I go next.

Lastly, what advice would you give to those looking to change paths?

Trust your instinct. Learn from people. Focus on your strengths. Think of things you've done in the past and how those moments can benefit you in other avenues. I've been sober for almost 13 years, and this mindset began with me restoring sobriety. The basics of my sobriety journey shaped all facets of my life, including relationships, career, etc. Find your niche and expand with moments you've picked up along the way.
