The NYC Easter Parade kicks off at 10 AM on Easter Sunday from St. Patrick’s Cathedral. From there, you can watch the procession or get involved with the festivities. Because of the long tradition, you may even come across a few participants complete with period dress to add to the atmosphere.

Even if you didn’t celebrate the night before, brunch is an excellent way to ease into the day before you race across the city (or even upstate) to visit family who has prepared something delicious for the occasion.

The Governors Island Egg Hunt is ideal for adults and kids alike. Here, you can explore the 120 acres and seek as many of the 10,000 wooden eggs as possible. Even if you don’t find any, it’s a great excuse to get out of the house, stretch your legs, and hopefully enjoy some sunshine to match the positive vibes that rumble through the city during Easter Sunday. 

Visit Friends 

Easter is a fantastic time to reconnect with loved ones. If your best friends have recently bought a property and are hosting a dinner, make sure to celebrate the occasion with the perfect housewarming gifts that will show your gratitude for being invited and highlight the spirit of the holiday. 

Stay In 

If the weather isn’t ideal, then there's nothing wrong with staying indoors and cozying up with your family to watch a movie, play games, or even learn about the origins of Easter eggs that your kids show off to their teachers when they go to school. While it might not be everyone’s idea of a fun Easter adventure, many people get to the point when staying in is always the better option.
