On Tue. June 8, the virtual event celebrates its 2021 theme - The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods - that sheds light on the wonder of the ocean and how it is our lifesource, supporting humanity and every other organism on Earth. UNWOD in years past enjoyed speakers including Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevingne, Pharrell, and 2020’s first-ever fully digital and open to the public rendition of the event was amongst the most highly attended ocean  gatherings in history. 

Produced in partnership with ocean conservation non-profit Oceanic Global, the 2021 event  will feature keynote speeches, panels, and presentations with leading voices including: Sylvia Earle, Gael Garcia Bernal, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Céline Semaan, musical talent Angelique Kidjo, Bomba Estereo, Valerie June, and many more.
