NYC Teen Race of Hope To Defeat Depression

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Hope for Depression Research Foundation will hold their inaugural NYC Teen Race of Hope with Honorary Grand Marshal, Brooke Shield’s daughter Grier Hammond Henchy, on May 21st.

The race, which will take place at Pier 40 Hudson River Park, is the brainchild of Hayden Lucas, Chief Student Ambassador of the race, a junior at Dwight High School and the leader of the newly formed HDRF Teen Task Force, created to empower teens to open discuss mental health. The DJ for the morning event will be mental health advocate Soul Cycle’s own Stacey Griffith, who will provide the musical background as teenagers and their families, friends and teachers unite to fight the stigma around mental health and raise critical funds for depression research.

The race is just $15 to join in the fight and all 100% of all funds from the race go directly to depression research.
