Newly-Opened, YAO, Launches Wine Tasting Even


Recently-opened, YAO, by Chef-Owner Kenny Leung and Co-Owner Thomas Tang of the acclaimed August Gatherings, is a modern tribute to Cantonese culinary tradition.

On Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 21st, YAO will be hosting a wine tasting and small bites event. Guests can explore YAO’s impressive wine cellar from Beverage Director and Sommelier, Michael Goff (Tuxedo Hospitality Group and Le Crocodile) who will be present expounding on wines that will be paired with Executive Chef-Owner, Kenny Leung’s cuisine. This event is priced at $100 per person plus tax and gratuity.

·  Bruno Paillard Extra Brut Grande Reserve (Champagne, France) 

·  Saints Hills "Posh" Posit 2022 (Dry White, Croatia)

·  Max Von Richter Mulheimer Sonnenlay "Kabinett" Riesling 2021 (Semi-Dry White, Germany)

·  Gaja Sito Moresco Piedmont Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 (Medium Bodied Red, Italy)

·  Château Monbousquet Grand Cru Classe Bordeaux 2018 (Full bodied Red, France)

Small Bites highlighted are: shrimp dumpling, fried eggplant, herb lamb chop and fried oyster.

The event is bar-seated only with nine seats available per seating; seating times are 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Food and beverage is available to order a la carte at an additional cost.
