Benno, the fine dining restaurant that explores the cuisine and spirits of Southern France, Northern Italy, and the coastal Mediterranean helmed by Jonathan Benno (Per Se and Lincoln), will be hosting a one-night only Legacy Guest Chef Dinner with Chef James Knappett and Sommelier Sandia Chang this September.
The Legacy Guest Chef Dinners are put on to feature chefs who have previously worked with Chef Benno and have gone on to tremendous success with their own restaurants around the world. Knappett and Chang opened Bubbledogs Champagne Bar and Kitchen Table in August 2012 in the UK. Awarded a Michelin star in 2014, Knappett is Head Chef and prepares, cooks and serves a daily-changing 14-course menu of meticulously sourced and foraged British ingredients. Chang is a Sommelier and was awarded Best Front of House at the GQ Food and Drink Awards in 2018. The duo provides true harmony between the kitchen and service teams and was awarded a “Welcome Service Award” by Michelin.
On Tuesday, September 17, guests will be delighted with a 5-course dinner and pairing experience for $185 per person. Menu items include Tuna Crudo with piccolo basil and taggiasca olive caramel, Dry Aged Lamb Saddle with roasted peppers and lamb jus, as well as Mignardises with black winter truffle fudge canelé, and more.
