Related Companies, Oxford Properties Group and elected government officials join Hudson Yards collaborators including architects, designers, restaurateurs, chefs, retail and corporate CEOs, and notable New Yorkers to celebrate the opening of New York’s newest neighborhood, Hudson Yards. Lively performances and experiences, and bold-face names will mark the historic occasion. The program will be immediately followed by an inaugural walk up the urban landmark, temporarily known as Vessel, the neighborhood’s centerpiece designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studios.
Hudson Yards is New York’s newest neighborhood and includes world-class shopping and dining, state-of-the-art modern residences and offices, cultural experiences, the world’s first Equinox Hotel® and a new five acre public plaza anchored by Vessel. Developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, the new neighborhood opens at noon on Friday, March 15th.
Openings on March 15th include:
The Public Square and Gardens;
The neighborhood’s centerpiece designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio, temporarily named Vessel; and
The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards featuring more than 100 global fashion and retail brands, immersive cultural experiences and a diverse culinary collection two dozen restaurant, food and bar concepts.
Tenants have already began moving into 55 Hudson Yards and 30 Hudson Yards, two large-scale commercial towers, and first occupancy is underway at 15 Hudson Yards. The Equinox Hotel® in 35 Hudson Yards is expected to open in June. 10 Hudson Yards opened in May of 2016.
