Fire Pig Penny, the Emmy-winning miniature swine that paints, is now trying her ‘hoof’ at yoga. The celebrated porker turned Instagram star will be the guest of honor at a benefit for Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary and FDNY Engine 239 at WhitFit NYC in Downtown Manhattan.
WhitFit NYC owner Whitney Berger, a certified yoga instructor and personal trainer, decided to host the benefit class after meeting Penny and hearing the plight of other pigs and farm animals. This will be the first yoga class for the rescued swine, who is an accomplished artist and has already mastered skateboarding.
Firefighter Darren Harris adopted the teacup piglet from a farm in Virginia in 2021. Since then she’s been garnering attention and awards with her talents. This will be the first “public” appearance for Penny since she returned from Los Angeles where she was filming a guest appearance on a nationally syndicated TV show.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be split between FDNY Engine 239 in Brooklyn and Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary, the farm animal sanctuary and rescue in Parksville, NY.
PRICE: $30 donation (100% proceeds going to the charities)
