LongHouse Reserve will be hosting Dahlia Day, a flower arranging and book signing event with Frances Palmer.

Dahlia Day begins with Frances debuting her new book "Life in the Studio", personalizing guest copies and answering any questions during the signing. Guests are then free to roam the gardens and discover LongHouse. Registration for the book signing can be found here. Books must be pre-purchased through LongHouse’s website (buy here) or in-store at the time of event.

Dahlia Day continues at 4:00PM with a flower-arranging workshop. The program begins with a detailed discussion on the history of dahlia flowers and their planting process. Following this is a hands-on presentation of flower arranging with dahlias in combination with seasonal flowers and grasses. Attendees are responsible to bring their own hand pruner along with flowers and/or grasses in a vessel.

Participants have the option to attend either one or both activities. Purchase of the book allows admission unless participating in the workshop (max 30 people); tickets can be purchased here. Everyone is required to wear a mask.
