Cultivating Community: A Dinner Series in Support of Black Farmers

Event Description: This summer, Bombay Bramble and Chef Omar Tate are partnering to host farm-to-table pop-up dinners -- Cultivating Community: A Dinner Series in Support of Black Farmers -- scheduled to kick off at Oko Farm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Wednesday, June 29th. A patron of the Black farming community and long fascinated by the flavor profile of fresh berries, Chef Omar Tate has teamed up with Bombay Bramble to curate an experience that not only highlights the all-natural, bold, berried gin but also authentically uplifts the Black farming and culinary community. The kick-off dinner will spotlight a network of Black farmers, their produce, and the culture it quite literally feeds. Designed to draw attention to the challenges that Black farmers face, each course will be dedicated to honoring a ‘hero ingredient’ from a rural Black farm while having the farmers attend as an honored guest to help tell their stories. Highlighting Bombay Bramble and Chef Omar Tate’s ongoing mission to support underrepresented communities, the dinner series will take place in Atlanta & Charleston later this summer, with a portion of proceeds to benefit the Black Farmer Fund.

Admission: Ticketed
