Cuisine Solutions Hosts Virtual Event w/ Michelin-Starred Chefs for International Sous Vide Day

Cuisine Solutions Inc., the global leader and largest premium food company in pioneering and perfecting sous vide cooking techniques, will host a free virtual celebration for International Sous Vide Day on January 26th, honoring the Master of Modern Sous Vide, Dr. Bruno Goussault’s birthday.

The all-day event will be available through the online meeting platform Convene and the videos will be up from January 26th – March 26th, giving guests an inside look at the history and artistry of the sous vide cooking process.  

Emceed by Nycci Nellis, the host of the podcast Industry Night and Foodie and the Beast radio show, the event will showcase a schedule of expert panelists with Michelin-starred chefs, renowned industry professionals, global cooking demos, a docufilm illustrating Dr. Bruno Goussault’s work over the last 50 years and more.

Highlights include:

·       A chef-driven conversation with Daniel Boulud (celebrity chef; two Michelin-starred restaurant Daniel); Kyle Connaughton (three Michelin-starred SingleThread and winner of the “Green Star”); and Grace Ramirez (celebrity chef, cookbook author and the recipient of the Distinguished Latina Star Award by the Puerto Rican Bar Association for her hurricane relief efforts). They will speak towards the challenges they have faced during the Covid-19 pandemic, how they have used sous vide to their advantage during this time and what they foresee in the future for the hospitality industry.

·       Global sous vide video cooking series, spotlighting chefs from the four international locations that Cuisine Solutions operates from, US, France, Thailand and UAE. Chefs will include Katie Button of Cúrate Bar de Tapas in Asheville, North Carolina; Ian Kittichai of Issaya Siamese Club in Bangkok, Thailand; Eka Mochamad of At.mosphere Burj Khalifa, the tallest restaurant in the world, located in Dubai, UAE; and Nicolas Adamopulos of Restaurant Sens in Angers, France.

·       A roundtable discussion with Jon Taffer, Host of Bar Rescue and Chairman & CEO of Taffer DynamicsDan Rowe, Founder & CEO of Fransmart; and Niren Chaudhary, Chief Executive Officer of Panera Bread about the future of restaurants and how sous vide will play a significant role. 

The event will finish with a virtual happy birthday to Dr. Goussault, who currently serves at the Chief Scientist at Cuisine Solutions. He is the founder of the Culinary Research & Education Academy (CREA), where he taught the application of sous vide cooking to Michelin-starred chefs such as Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Yannick Alléno, Joël Robuchon, and Anne-Sophie Pic, among many others. Since its inception, CREA and Dr. Goussault have trained over 80% of the three-star Michelin chefs around the world.
