Blu on The Hudson’s award-winning culinary and wine team is partnering with Il Poggione to host an exclusive dinner and wine pairing event on Tuesday, November 19th at 6:30pm in their private dining room. For $150/per person, the dinner will include a champagne reception, followed by a 5-course meal curated by Executive Chef JC Ortega, paired with the wines of Il Poggione, by Sommelier Adam Greer.
One of the most highly regarded wineries in all of Tuscany, Tenuta Il Poggione makes incredibly powerful wines for collectors and everyday drinkers alike. Located in Sant' Angelo in Colle in the commune of Montalcino, the family-owned winery was one of the original three producers of Brunello di Montalcino and who have been heavily involved in establishing the standards of excellence for region. Led by father-son winemaking team, Fabrizio and Alessandro Bindocci, Il Poggione's guiding principle is to pay great care to the vines, because the secret to producing great red wines lies in the high-quality vineyard work. The winery is also committed to sustainable viticulture and 100% estate-grown, hand-selected grapes.
The wines will be accompanied by a specially designed 5-course tasting menu by Executive Chef JC Ortega to complement each varietal.

Blu on the Hudson is located in Weehawken, New Jersey, just a picturesque six-minute NY Waterway ferry ride from Manhattan and easily accessible to all New Jerseyans. The restaurant has spectacular views of the Hudson and Manhattan skyline.
