MILA Omakase Two Nights With Chef Manoella Buffara

Riviera Dining Group has announced it will partner with award-winning Brazilian Chef Manoella ‘Manu’ Buffara to host a two-night culinary takeover at MILA Omakase in Miami Beach on Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18, 2023. Setting the bar for providing the Florida community and visitors with ultra luxurious experiences and gastronomic excellence from Chef Partner, Michaël Michaelidis, along with MILA Omakase’s Executive Chef Reiji Yoshizawa, the three-chef collaboration will bring guests a once-in-a-lifetime, interactive and gastronomic experience that will enhance all of their senses.

Voted the Best Latin American female chef in 2022 for 50 Best Academy, Chef Manu boasts a collection of national and international prizes and honors including being named No. 46 on The Best Chef Awards worldwide ranking, winner of the ethics and sustainability award in La Liste 2022, and the chef-owner of restaurant No. 46 on Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants.

The intimate, 10-seat omakase journey will invite guests to relish in the season's freshest flavors with MILA Omakase’s Japanese-Mediterranean cuisine, paired with Chef Manu’s Latin touch. Priced at $550 per person, the menu will include canapés such as Scallops, drizzled with lemongrass sauce and bora honey; Smoked Salmon, served with dill espuma and ikura; as well as nigiri dishes such as Chutoro passion fruit kosho; or the Otoro, served with Brazilian nut gremolata. Other notable dishes include Bluefin Tuna, served with clams beurre blanc and caviar; Black Cod, served with seaweed ash and green pea velouté; and the Risotto, made with morel mushroom, truffle foam and caviar. Completing the culinary experience, desserts will include the Emerald, made with cachaca granita and coconut jam as well as the Japanese Uni, made with ponzu foam and yogurt ice cream.

Helmed by 26-time Michelin-starred Chef Michaël Michaelidis and Chef Reiji Yoshizawa, MILA Omakase is an authentic, exclusive experience that transports guests to the Far East through embellishments and culinary expertise revolving around Japan's 72 micro-seasons. Nestled on the second level of MILA’s trendy rooftop lounge, the space is adorned with delicate cherry blossom trees, minimalist wooding, Japanese craftsmanship-inspired wallpaper, a dramatic marble countertop, a 500-year-old hinoki wood cutting board, and wall-mounted niches serving as MM members’ chopstick display.

PRICE: The experience starts at $550+ per person.  For $195 per person, MILA Omakase offers its signature omakase experience Wednesday-Saturday. MILA Omakaase also offers a vegan omakase experience every Tuesday for $195 per person.
