NoMo SoHo, owned by real estate and investment firm Sapir Corp Ltd. (“Sapir”) and  managed by Highgate, announces extensive enhancements including the appointment of Executive Chef Evan Bergman at the hotel’s NoMo Kitchen and the introduction of two new event spaces: the Penthouse and Nina’s.

Updated NoMo Kitchen Menu Crafted by New Executive Chef Evan Bergman

With a notable background spanning over a decade, Chef Evan Bergman offers diverse aptitude in both classic and modern techniques to create a luxury dining experience at Nomo Soho. Under the direction of Bergman, NoMo Kitchen’s menu has expanded to include seasonal and locally sourced dishes such as Braised Pork Cheeks with heirloom grits, brussels sprouts, and hen-of-the-wood mushrooms as well as Flourless Chocolate Cake with coconut crème anglaise and Marcona almonds. Seasonal menu items are available for a limited time and, once replaced with new dishes, will not be served again, ensuring guests will always have the opportunity to taste Bergman’s latest and greatest creations.

Chef Bergman is fostering closer relationships with local purveyors to create distinctly curated menus at NoMo Kitchen while also expanding on the culinary offerings the restaurant is known for among its loyal clientele. Progressive and innovative dishes will change seasonally, featuring local ingredients celebrating the best of the New York region. Guests will find additional meat-free menu options with sustainable choices including the new Jackfruit Tacos and a Chickpea Burger, among other environmentally conscious choices.

NoMo Kitchen will continue to serve rustic American cuisine with global influences in a vibrant greenhouse setting for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. Home to the recognizable Lovewall mural by UK street artist James Goldcrown and serving expertly curated, handcrafted cocktails, the eatery creates an unmissable combination of great food, drinks and ambience.

Most recently, Bergman served as the Executive Sous Chef at the opulent Pine Hollow Club. He also worked for the Charlie Palmer Collective, The Knickerbocker Hotel and LouLou Petit Bistro.

The Return of The Rose Garden

Last year NoMo SoHo introduced its newest dining experience: the Rose Garden, a serene, romantic terrace set just outside of NoMo Kitchen. The Rose Garden will return in spring 2023, giving guests a scenic spot to enjoy craft cocktails and small plates on weekday afternoons unlike any other eatery in the neighborhood.

The space is decorated with evergreen pink roses, creating a city garden dining experience to complement the long-awaited warm weather and sunshine. Guests are invited to enjoy a brand-new menu of dishes reflecting the mosaic of cultures surrounding the SoHo neighborhood, from Chinatown to Little Paris to Little Italy.

The Penthouse and Nina’s for Events

NoMo SoHo has long been a top destination for New York City events, from weddings to meetings and pop-ups. The hotel has recently introduced two additional event spaces available for gatherings in 2023: The Penthouse and Nina’s.

The Penthouse, on the top floor of the tallest building in SoHo, is a 1,170-square-foot venue featuring floor-to-ceiling windows showing off unparalleled panoramic views of the New York City skyline. On either side of the Penthouse is an outdoor terrace providing 1,100 additional square feet of event space. Ideal for dinner parties, micro-weddings and cocktail hours, the space fits up to 120 guests, allowing a variety of configurations, all of which place attendees in a singular venue high above the city.

On the ground floor of the hotel is Nina’s, a 1,300-square-foot lounge area outfitted with a bar, VIP room and intimate seating areas. The room is conducive for cocktail parties, birthday parties or company events, with space for up to 150 attendees to enjoy the intimate, speakeasy-like space. Nina’s is home to a rotating art display, currently showcasing the works of New York-based artist Gazoo to the Moon’s “Open the Gates” collection.

“NoMo SoHo had an incredible 2022 and we’re thrilled to continue that momentum into this new year,” says Patrick Lacassagne, General Manager of NoMo SoHo. “With an exciting new vision for the NoMo Kitchen menu, the upcoming return of the Rose Garden and two incredible new event spaces, it is sure to be another fantastic year at this one-of-a-kind hotel.”
