Dirty French, Major Food Group's exuberant French bistro--now celebrating its fifth anniversary--is serving a $125/person prix-fixe Christmas menu. It features Nantua (buttery scallops and crawfish in a decadent sauce of saffron, brandy, vermouth and cream), Steak Au Poivre (bone-in strip with green peppercorn sauce), Meunière (brook trout with sesame and brown butter) and more.
Decadent, optional supplements this year are Étouffée (Dover Sole, Peekytoe Crab and rice pilaf) and Cote de Boeuf in Brown Butter Bearnaise. Desserts include the Tarte (preserved lemon, almond, toasted meringue) and Opera Cake (peanut butter, chocolate feuilletine, banana ice cream).
