Pier 57’s Food Hall & Community Spaces

New York City's historic Pier 57 in Hudson River Park has been transformed into a year-round culinary, cultural, and educational destination that showcases the city's culinary and cultural diversity. The new food hall, Market 57, is anchored by the James Beard Foundation and features women- and BIPOC-owned food concepts, and community spaces that include a 7,400-square-foot public gathering place called the Living Room, and three bookable community classrooms for community organizations and nonprofits. The community spaces will also feature free, public programming from organizations such as the Children’s Museum of the Arts and Street Lab.

The redevelopment of Pier 57 is part of the Hudson River Park Trust's vision to incentivize balanced development on the far west side of Manhattan and integrate new community spaces with offices and homes. The revitalization of Pier 57 was made possible by a consortium of partners led by RXR, Youngwoo & Associates, and The Baupost Group, with Google serving as the anchor tenant. Google is also providing support for the community spaces, and Jamestown is developing, curating, and delivering Market 57 on behalf of Google.

Pier 57's reopening was celebrated by public officials and culinary and community leaders, who praised the project for its revitalization of New York's working waterfront and the creation of a vibrant, new public space on the Hudson River. Pier 57's ground floor opened to the public on April 1, and Market 57 is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET. The rooftop park and Living Room space are open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET.
