NYC Restaurants with Heat Lamps

As the temperature goes down, restaurants are doing their best to accommodate customers and feed them well. While indoor dining may not be great for everyone, outdoor seating may be the best option as the temperature begins to drop. Not sure where you cane at this Fall without getting too cold? See below our go to restaurants this Fall.

Haven Rooftop atop the Sanctuary Hotel (132 W. 47th St.) has prepared for chilly weather by utilizing a half dozen heated sleek black high top tables. The innovative tables include a heater located at the legs, with two settings to adjust warmth to your liking. There are also free standing electric heaters throughout the dining section of Haven.

Sushi Lab Rooftop (132 W. 47th Street), which also resides atop The Sanctuary Hotel in Midtown has electric heaters by tables to keep guests warm as the temperatures cool.

Brooklyn Chop House (150 Nassau Street in FiDi) is heating things up outdoors by being able to keep temperatures at 70 degrees underneath each of the restaurant's three oversized tents (regardless of the elements outdoors) courtesy of a half dozen industrial grade heaters overhead. On the inside, the team at Brooklyn Chop House implemented a 40 point safety plan to re-opening that includes everything from having HEPA filtered air indoors, which is a high-efficiency particulate absorbing filter, to having saran wrapped place settings at every table.

Nerai in Midtown East (55 E. 54th Street) now has electric heaters installed on their umbrellas in the outdoor garden and also has one of the most beautiful indoor settings, courtesy of a massive Jasmine Garden courtesy of Floratorium. Indulge in their savory Seafood Orzotto, which features fresh octopus, shrimp, mussels and calamari in a saffron broth, and is sure to warm you up on a chilly day.

The Australian restaurant and cafe Hole in the Wall's new Flatiron location (37 W. 24th St.) will keep things toasty when the temperature dips courtesy of Hotel Henri's marquee overhead, which doubles as a giant heater and is also a great way to shelter from a storm seven days a week from 9am-10pm.

Clinton Hall’s FiDi location (90 Washington St.) is utilizing heaters throughout its entire outdoor dining area so you can warm up over a Supercraft beer, hard seltzers, wine and a full bar menu alongside delicious food from Executive Chef Darryl Harmon like his signature Double Smashed Burger, Buffalo Cauliflower, Crispy Chicken Wings, Giant Pretzels and more.

Slate (54 West 21st Street) in the heart of Chelsea features overhead heaters outside of the one-of-a-kind multi-level nightspot. Stay warm while you sip on creative cocktails and munch on classic bar food favorites like pizza, burgers and tacos.

Bubby’s in Tribeca (120 Hudson Street). The restaurant is currently open 8 am – 10 pm daily for indoor seating (25% capacity), takeout (delivery/pickup) and an expanded outdoor seating area with heat lamps. Enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.

Ten Hope in Williamsburg (10 Hope St.) has 17 heaters being put in place in order to provide every single outside table with heat to keep diners warm and comfortable while they enjoy the new Autumn Menu with options like Squid Ink Gnocchi, Arroser Scallops and juicy 8oz Ten Hope Burgers and Kofta Burgers available on Tuesday - Friday from 5pm-11pm, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-11pm.

Ainslie (76 Ainslie St.) in Williamsburg boasts 140 seats outside in addition to 90 inside at 25 percent capacity. Owner AJ Bontempo plans to maintain the tented area into the winter. He purchased electric heaters and blowers, and as soon as he found out propane would be legalized, he added those as well.

Carnegie Diner & Cafe (205 W. 57th St.) in the heart of Midtown is keeping patrons warm with a tent equipped with heaters while they indulge in all-day breakfast omelettes, pancakes, waffles, French toast, salads, burgers and triple decker sandwiches in addition to a variety of delicious desserts and drinks including frozen margaritas.

In Edgewater, New Jersey, newly opened restaurant The Yacht Club (541 River Road) boasts an outdoor bar with permanent heaters equipped to keep diners warm and comfortable. The outside bar overlooks the Hudson River and the Upper West Side of Manhattan and serves an array of specialty drinks.  The Yacht Club also offers wines by the glass and bottle in addition to beer, cider, mocktails and smoothies.
