Amazing Places That Are Best Visited With Friends
Traveling with friends can be one of the best things to do. You bond over new, shared experiences and come home with memories that last a lifetime. As you get older, things like work and family seem to get in the way of spending time with friends, which is why making as much of an effort as possible to see them and do new exciting things occasionally will keep you close!
Below are some ideas of trips you could go on with friends. Take a look and see what takes your fancy:
Iceland
Iceland is full of natural wonders, making it perfect for those who want to visit somewhere that is absolutely beautiful. It’s also great for those who are feeling adventurous! You can start off by wandering the streets and shops of Reykjavik, before learning about the country’s history at the National Museum of Iceland. When you get hungry, make a dinner reservation at the revolving glass-domed restaurant Perlan. You can also visit Thingvellir National Park, and the Geysir that gave all other geysers their name. Don’t miss your chance at a swim in the Blue Lagoon, either!
Charlotte, North Carolina
Charlotte isn’t a place that is discussed regularly on lists like this, but it can be another great place for friends to visit together. With beautiful gardens and bird sanctuary, and the option to book a segway or bike tour to explore the city, it can be a brilliant day out if you’re close by. There’s also the performing arts centre for those who love a little drama and art, and it’s super easy to find somewhere great to stay, like this hotel near Charlotte Douglas International Airport. If you’re nearby, don’t miss it.
Napa Valley, California
Who doesn’t love great food, gorgeous landscapes, and amazing wine to drink? It’s always a good time to head here thanks to the great temperatures. Places like Calistoga Ranch have guest lodges that are good for a group with a spa featuring warming baths that are the perfect visit after a heavy night on some of that tasty wine.
Los Angeles, California
The restaurants in Silver Lake, and the nightlife in Hollywood are things you shouldn’t miss when in LA with your friends. You can also set out to explore the newly revived downtown LA, visit the Getty Museum, and hike up Runyon Canyon. There are no end of things you can do with your friends in LA.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
If you love Game of Thrones and want to feel like you’re right there in on the action, there’s no better place to visit than the charming medieval fortress town of Dubrovnik, Croatia. With ancient walls, stately architecture, buzzing nightlife, and sweeping views of the Adriatic Sea, it makes the perfect place to visit for a group of friends. Walk the cobblestoned streets of Old Town while you take in the views, and make sure you take advantage of the city’s infamous clubs.
